Paleo Festival Nyon exists since more than 30 years now and started very small in a local room of the municipality of Nyon in canton Vaud. With the years passing by and gaining popularity around the world, it grown up to the stage of Europe's biggest open air festival. Through its experience and excellent concerts it acheived the reputation of being the most notorious and biggest live music event in Europe.
Nowadays, the Paleo Festival Nyon gathers, over one full week, more than 120 concerts of every music style you can think of such as pop, rock, world music, classic music and recently even electronic music. A small glimpse to the huge program of this year's festival reveals international artists like Tracy Chapman, Moby, Placebo, Erik Truffaz, Francis Cabrel, Kaiser Chiefs and The Prodigy.
This live musical event is located in Nyon, a small but pretty city in south-west Switzerland founded long time ago by the Romans. It is well known for being the headquarters of the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA). Nyon is situated 25 kilometers away from Geneva Airport and just like Geneva it lies on the shores of Lake Geneva making it a very nice place to stay during the festival. |
