The new-baroque building inspired by the French Renaissance style, which now holds the Grand Casino of Lucerne, was built in 1882 and was used as a health resort at that time. It was a place for social meetings, entertainment and pleasure. During the last 100 years it was renovated and finally converted into a Casino without losing any of its charm of that time.
The Casino and its many rooms such as the Jackpot Casino, the Cocktail Bar, the Grand Jeu Casino, the Casineum are architectonic wonders and give an historical atmosphere to the place. Located directly at Lake Lucerne on the worldwide famous Quai-Promenade, you will be able to savour the charming panorama of the city on the mirrorring lake.
Before playing a round of poker or black jack, have a nice meal in one of their two luxurious and fine restaurants. Restaurant Olivo will serve you wonderful Mediterranean dishes on its wonderful terrace with a view onto Lake Lucerne. The restaurant Seegarten (sea garden) is very much in demand on sunny days with a panoramic view of the Alps.
