| European Organisation for Nuclear Research |
 |
The European Organisation for Nuclear Research, or simply called CERN, is definetly the world's largest particle physics center and was founded back in 1954. This huge laboratory, which even expands over to France, employs the world's greatest scientists who unify their force to study the basics of matter and the forces that hold them together. It is very well known for its accelerator, a huge and impressive machine spanning over 27 km of circular tube, which collides electrons and positrons to create new forms of matter.
Due to it's success, you will have to book your visit to CERN one month in advance but the three-hour guided tour of the labs is free.

| Jet d'Eau |
 |
How could you stay in Geneva and not visit the famous Jet d'Eau ? You simply can't miss the world's biggest water fountain directly located in the middle of the city at a place called "La rade". The majestuous fountain exists already since the 19th century and became, with time, a major touristic attraction and at the same time the symbol of Geneva. It is impressively high, 140 meters to be exact and is propelling 500 liters of water per second at a speed of 200 kilometers per hour. You can best view the Jet d'Eau at the Quai du Général-Guisan and if you travel by plane to Geneva, don't forget to take a look out of the plane window when you land or take off as it can already be seen from the sky.
Have yourself photographed in front of the fountain and make it an unforgetable souvenir of your stay in Geneva.
